Ellen is an associate at Arch & Lake. She drafts and prosecutes patent applications utilizing a wide range of technologies including computer software, hardware, web services, and networking system. She also helps in Inter Partes Review (IPR) and Post Grant Review (PGR) proceedings at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB).
Prior to attending law school, Ellen gained valuable experience as a Patent Examiner at the State Intellectual Property Office of China (SIPO). During that time, she reviewed patent applications related to software and Internet-based applications, business methods, telecommunications, and medical devices, and re-examined appeals at the PTAB of SIPO.
During law school, Ellen served for the Chicago-Kent Journal of Intellectual Property and Chicago-Kent Patent Hub, a Patent Pro Bono Program. And Ellen worked as a Summer Associate at Hickman Palermo Becker Bingham LLP.
